Many educators have struggled for years to ensure each child in their care gets the best education possible, and they often rely on research to make their case for funding. Most of the current research indicates the youngest students need the most attention, so smaller class sizes have been mandated in many school districts. While this concept works well in areas where it is affordable, there are still places where even the smallest children receive the least attention. Equality in education is the goal of educators, but keeping the cost as low as possible is often the goal of those who are in charge of allocating the money contributed through taxes.
